▽What is “American”?
What is “American”? In Japan, about 98% of people are Japanese. But in America, only about 60% of people are American. The rest come from countries all over the world. America is very diverse. You can see many cultures existing together. Different foods, languages, religions, and traditions are everywhere.
There is also a difference between “nationality” and “ethnicity”. Nationality is the country you legally belong to – where your passport is from. But ethnicity is your culture and heritage. Many people are “nationally” American, but are “ethnically” from all over the world. This makes a unique new mixed American culture.
