Hello everyone!
I have recently been getting used to the weatherdifferences between here and Canada and ithas been difficult. Where I used to live it wouldget very warm but it was not that humid, sogetting cool wasn’t that difficult. However, sinceit has been getting warm in Shiroishi, sometimesmy apartment becomes an oven. It isn’t evenofficially summer and I do not know how I willsurvive the heat yet. A song that is popular inCanada, or at least with my father, is “All summerlong” by Kid Rock. It has a campfire feel to it forthose who will take some time off to enjoy theweather.
I recently climbed a mountain in preparationfor a climb with the students with some of thestaff from school. It was quite the experienceas we got to see tadpoles and a rare plantcolloquially called a ghost plant in English, buthere it is called the ginryousou. It was my firsttime encountering it and I hope the students gotto see it as well! It was a wonderful climb butI can understand why people bring towels andperhaps even a second shirt. You often sweatand it doesn’t evaporate like it would in the dryweather of Alberta Canada.

皆さんこんにちは!最近、こことカナダの気候の違いに慣れてきましたが、大変です。私が以前住んでいた場所はとても暑かったですが、湿気はそれほど多くなかったので、涼しさを保つのはそれほど難しくありませんでした。しかし、白石も暑くなってきたので、私のアパートがオーブンになることもあります。本格的な夏でもありませんが、どうやって暑さを乗り切るかまだわかりません。「私とカナダにいる父の間で少なくとも人気のある曲は、キッドロックの「All Summer Long」です。キャンプファイヤーのような雰囲気があり、天気を楽しむために休暇を取る人に最適です。」
先日、学校の職員数名とともに、児童たちと登山を行うための準備として山に登りました。オタマジャクシや英語でゴーストプラントと呼ばれる珍しい植物(ここではギンリョウソウと呼ばれています)を見ることができ、とても貴重な体験でした。私も初めて見たので、児童たちにも見てもらえたら嬉しいです!素晴らしい登山でしたが、みんながタオルや着替えを持参する理由も理解できます。頻繁に汗をかきますが、カナダのアルバータ州の乾燥した気候のようには蒸発しません。
