■hello everyone at Shichikashuku!
I hope the New Year has been kind to you. The weather even being late into winter has been wonderful. As a Canadian, it is rare to be able to walk around comfortably in the December weather, though it has been warm in Canada, but the temperature finally reached about minus 15 degrees.
Last December, I went to Mt. Karo in Soma. It was very beautiful. The hike is well maintained, so anyone from children to adults can walk. Why not try climbing it with your family? This photo was taken near the top of the mountain.
Also, I worked on practicing on older songs, and a song I want to dedicate to a friend of mine. It has been fun working on a new song during the time off of work.
Perhaps I’ll have a chance to show it off before the end of the school year.
It will continue to be cold, so everyone staywarm!

■七ヶ宿の皆さんこんにちは!
新年が皆さんにとって良い年であることを願っております。冬も終盤に入ったにもかかわらず、天気のいい日が続いています。カナダ人としては、12月の天気で快適に歩けるのは珍しいです。カナダでも日本のように暖かい日が続いていましたが、ようやく気温がマイナス15度くらいになったそうです。
昨年12月、私は相馬の鹿狼山(かろうさん)※に行きました。とても美しかったです。登山コースはよく整備されているので、子供から大人まで誰でも歩くことができます。ぜひご家族で登ってみてはいかがでしょうか。今回載せた写真は山頂付近で撮影したものです。
また、私は古い曲と、友人に贈る曲の練習に取り組みました。休暇中に新曲を作るのは楽しかったです。もしかしたら、年度末までにお披露目する機会があるかもしれません。
