■素晴らしい思い出をありがとう!
Hello everyone! Soon I‘ll be leaving Asagiri, so this will be my last article for the town
newsletter.
I’ve just finished teaching my last classes at Menda, Okaharu, and SueElementary Schools.
Coming from America, it was a little difficult to adjust at first, but I’ve had an amazing time living in Asagiri and traveling around Hitoyoshi-Kuma. I’ve enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and Kuma River ( I took so many pictures, I’ve run out of space in my phone!) and of course, the onsen. But my favorite part has been getting to know the students, not only through English class,but also playing together at recess, joining in club activities, and chatting about their hobbies.
I’m very glad I was able to come to Asagiri, and I’ll never forget my time here, so thank you so much for having me. I will be staying in Japan, so I hope that someday I can return to visit, and I hope to see you then!

みなさんこんにちは!まもなく私はあさぎり町を去るので、これが私の最後の広報の記事になります。
免田小学校、岡原小学校、そして須恵小学校での最後の授業を終えました。
アメリカからやって来て、最初は少し順応するのに難しさを覚えましたが、あさぎり町での生活や人吉球磨旅行を通して素晴らしい時間を過ごせました。美しい山々や球磨川を堪能し(たくさん写真を撮ったので、私の携帯電話の空き容量がなくなってしまうほどです!)そして、もちろん温泉も満喫しました。ですが、なにより大切な思い出は生徒たちと知り合えたことです。英語の授業を通してだけでなく、休み時間に一緒に遊んだり、クラブ活動に参加したり、子供たちの趣味についておしゃべりし合うことができました。
あさぎり町に来ることができて本当に嬉しかったです。ここで過ごした時間をいつまでも忘れることはないでしょう。私を歓迎し、共に過ごしてくれて本当にありがとうございました。私はまだ日本に滞在しますが、いつの日かまた、あさぎり町を訪問できたらいいなと思っています。そしてまた皆さんにお会いできたら嬉しいです。
