■夏休みも終わり、新学期が始まります。
Hello again! How was your summer? I didn’t do much this year. The weather was so hot and humid, I wanted to stay inside with the A/C everyday! Instead, this month my younger sister will be visiting Japan! I can’t wait to travel with her and show her around Asagiri!
American summers are much less humid, and we have summer vacation from June to August.Many people go on trips, spend time with their family, and enjoy summer festivals. When I was younger, my family would take many trips to visit my grandparents. My sisters and I would spend all of our time swimming and playing board games!
Although the weather is still warm in Japan, it’s the beginning of fall in many places! The new school term is starting as well. This year, I am teaching at Fukada and Sue Elementary schools.I’m so excited to study English with everyone!To the students and teachers at Menda and Okaharu, thank you so much! I joined so many events – sports days, school picnics, and joined some student group activities – and learned so much about life and schools in Japan. I had so much fun studying English with all of you and I will never forget our time together!

おひさしぶりです!皆さんの夏はいかがでしたか?私は今年はあまりいろんなことができませんでした。とても暑く、湿度も高くて、毎日エアコンのきいた室内にこもっていました。その代わり今月は、私の妹が日本に来てくれるので、一緒に出かけて、あさぎり町を見せて歩くのが楽しみで待ちきれません!
アメリカでの夏はそこまで湿度が高くありません。それに夏休みは6月から8月まであります。ほとんどの人は旅行に出かけたりして家族と一緒に過ごし、夏のいろんなイベントを楽しみます。
私が子どもの頃、私の家族はよく祖父母の家に連れて行ってくれました。私と妹たちは毎日泳いだり、ボードゲームをして夏休みを過ごしました。
日本はまだ暑いけれど、秋の始まりがあちこちで見られます!新学期も始まります。次は私は深田小学校と須恵小学校で英語を教えることになります。みんなと一緒に英語を勉強できるのが楽しみです。免田小学校と岡原小学校の生徒や先生方、ありがとうございました!たくさんの行事に参加できました。運動会や遠足、グループ活動など…たくさん日本の暮らしと学校生活について学ぶことができました。みんなと共に英語を勉強した時間がとても楽しかったです。皆さんと共に過ごした時間を私はきっと、ずっと忘れません。
