March is a special time in my hometown, Portland, Oregon. After a long (and very rainy) winter , the Portland Saturday Market opens!
This year, on march 2nd, it will be the 50th anniversary of the market, which may not seem like very long in Japan, but that’s old in America!
I went to the mark et many times with my s ister a nd parents w hen I w as younger, and I enjoyed the many different types of goods you can find.
You can find art,
accessories, jewelry, fancy soap, festival food, clothes, metalwork, and so much more! But in the main square, there was always live music and bands, with big groups of dancers. It was always so much fun. If you visit Portland someday, please visit the Saturday Market!
