Hello Nakaton!
In February, we celebrate Valentine’s Day on the 14th. However, did you know that Japan　and America celebrate Valentine’s Day differently? Let me tell you about how we celebrate　in America.
Lots of elementary students look forward to Valentine’s Day every　year. This is because lots of schools have a big party during class.Teachers like to decorate the room with lots of hearts and pink and red　decorations. The week before, students usually get to spend a class　decorating mail boxes to use on Valentine’s Day.
On Valentine’s Day, students bring cards that they made or bought　from home. They usually also give small presents like pencils, erasers, or　candy. During the class party, they go around and put cards in student’s　mailboxes. After that, everyone opens their mailboxes and reads the　cards. Lots of teachers also bring snacks and drinks for the students to eat.
In America, everyone gives presents on Valentine’s Day, even though in Japan, it’s usually　women giving presents. Also, in America, we often give presents to lots of people, including　family and friends.

2月は14日にバレンタインデーを祝います。しかし、日本とアメリカではバレンタインデーの祝い方が違うことを知っていましたか?アメリカでどのようにお祝いしているかをお伝えします。
多くの小学生が毎年バレンタインデーを楽しみにしています。これは、多くの学校が授業中に大きなパーティーを開くからです。先生たちはたくさんのハートやピンクや赤の飾りで部屋を飾ります。その前の週、学生は大抵授業でバレンタインデーに使う郵便受けを飾ります。
バレンタインデーには、生徒たちが家で作ったり買ったりしたカードを持っていきます。彼らは大抵、鉛筆や消しゴム、キャンディーなどの小さなプレゼントもします。クラスパーティーの間、彼らは学生の郵便受けにカードを入れて回ります。その後、全員が郵便受けを開き、カードを読みます。また、多くの先生が生徒たちが食べるためにおやつや飲み物を持っていきます。
アメリカではバレンタインデーに誰もがプレゼントをしますが、日本では大抵女性がプレゼントをします。また、アメリカでは家族や友人などたくさんの人にプレゼントをすることが多いです。
