Ageo Iris Festival・Hike from Ageo Station
About 50 species of Japanese irises,10,000 plants in total, will be in bloom in the iris garden (2,800平方メートル) of Ageo Maruyama Park. The “Ageo Iris Festival” will be held from June 1 (Sat) through June 9 (Sun). Products promoted by Ageo-shi Tourism Association will be sold on Saturdays and Sundays during the festival period from 10：00 am until they are sold out. During the same period, the “Hike from Ageo Station” will take place. Ageo Maruyama Park is a part of the hiking route. For application, please come in front of the JR Ageo Station’s ticket office (Midori-no-Madoguchi) from 9：00～11：00 a.m. during the period of this event. → Ageo-shi Tourism Association Tel 775-5917 / Fax 775-5024

Agriculture Experience Class (Rice Planting)
When： June 15 (Sat) 9：00 a.m.～noon.
Where： Hirakata.
Program： Planting rice by hand (Harvesting in autumn is scheduled to be carried out).
For： Elementary school children and their family members living in Ageo.
Number： 20 families(A drawing will be held in case of too many many applicants).
Cost： 20 yen/person.
