スコットさん、7年8カ月間ありがとうございました‼

町内の小・中学生の英語力アップにご尽力いただいたALTのスコットアーサークレイさんが7年8カ月間の任期を終えられました。

To everyone who has supported me over these last several years, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. My experiences here in Gokase have had a huge impact on me that I will carry for the rest of my life.　While the nature and scenery of Gokase was something that certainly left an impact on me when I first arrived, I would have never imagined how much the relaxing nature of this town would soothe the soul.
I will miss it dearly. I was able to see students from their first grade year until their graduation day and this was very special for me. 　I will cherish the smiles and laughter of students both in and outside the classroom, as well as the people of Gokase whom I enjoyed special events like cooking, Kagura, PTA sporting events and many more.　I hope that the children of Gokase can try using their English in the future, whether it’s for a future job, traveling, or even just helping someone in need.　In addition to myself, my significant other Stephanie was also able to join me here in Gokase after finishing her time in Sasebo, and was welcomed with open arms.　 For her, I would like to give a special thank you to Gokase Winery where she worked for one year.　Please come visit Canada some time in the future!　I will be sure to return for a visit to Gokase some time in the future.

これまで、私を支えてくれた皆さんに心から感謝します。五ヶ瀬町での経験はとても特別で、生涯忘れられない思い出となりました。
初めて訪れた時、その美しい自然と景色に圧倒されましたが、その景色にいつも癒されてました。子供たちとの出会いは私にとって宝物であり、彼らの成長を入学から卒業まで見守ることができた事は貴重な経験でした。子供たちの笑顔や笑い声、町の人々との交流、特に料理教室や神楽、PTAのスポーツイベントなど、これらの思い出は私の心に深く刻まれています。子供たちが将来、英語を活用してさまざまな場面で活躍することを願っています。また、私のパートナーのステファニーも、温かく迎え入れていただき、1年間、五ヶ瀬ワイナリーで働くご縁もありました。
皆さん、ぜひカナダに遊びにきてください。私もいつか五ヶ瀬町に戻ってきたいと思います。
