Hello everyone! My name is Jessica Simons, and I am from Los Angeles, California in America, but I have lived in six diff erent states. I have a big family my mother and father, my two older brothers and their wives, one little sister, a nephew, and of course my dog Suki. Both of my parents are teachers.
My mother is a band teacher and my father is a choir conductor, so also I grew up traveling around America in a choir and they both taught me how important the arts are to society.
When I went to university, I decided to study theater, and I became a voice actor as well as a professional singer when I got my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting for the Stage and Screen. In addition to performing, I also developed a passion for creating them, and I write both novels and television scripts. Finally, I have been working with children throughout my college career, and I am dedicated to encouraging and developing the talent of those I have the honor of teaching.
While I am studying Japanese, I am not very good yet, but feel free to say hello if you see me out. I’m happy to chat as much as I am able! Everyone I have met has already been so kind to me and I have felt very welcomed, so thank you all for your warmth. I am excited to live and work in Aibetsu as well as experience Japanese culture in Hokkaido and beyond. Nice to meet you!

皆さんこんにちは!私の名前はサイモンズ・ジェシカです。アメリカのカリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス出身ですが、異なる6つの州に住んだ経験があります。私の家族には、父と母、2人の兄とその妻たち、1人の妹、甥、愛犬のスキがいます。両親は教師をしており、母はバンドを教え、父は合唱団の指揮者をしています。そのため、私も合唱団に所属し、アメリカを旅して育ちました。両親は私に芸術が社会にとっていかに重要か教えてくれました。
私は演劇の勉強をしようと決意して大学に進学し、舞台と映画の演技で美術学士号を取得、声優兼プロの歌手になりました。演じることに加え、創作することにも情熱を注ぐようになり、小説やテレビの脚本も執筆しています。最後に、私は大学生活を通じて子どもたちと関わってきました。子どもたちの才能を引き出し、成長させることに専念していきます。
日本語は勉強中なのでまだまだ上手ではありませんが、見かけたら気軽に声を掛けてください。たくさんおしゃべりしていただけるとうれしいです!私がすでに出会った方々は皆さんとても親切で歓迎されていると感じます。皆さんの温かさに感謝しています。愛別で暮らして働くこと、北海道や日本文化を体験できることを楽しみにしています。「どうぞよろしくお願いいたします!」
