みなさん、こんにちは。ALTのコナーです。

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope that everyone had a relaxing holiday.
With how busy the end of the year can be, it’s good to have a couple days to stay home with family and take it a little slow. I wasfortunate enough for my family to visit me for New Year’s, but we were a little busy. When this article is published, I might be traveling in Okinawa. My brother is very excited to visit the Churaumi Aquarium.
皆様、明けましておめでとうございます!ゆっくりとした休暇を過ごされたことと思います。
年末は何かと忙しくなりますが、家族とゆっくり過ごす日が数日あるのは良いですね。私は幸運にも家族が新年に迎えに来てくれましたが、少し忙しくて大変でした。この記事が公開される頃には、沖縄旅行をしているかもしれません。兄は美ら海水族館に行くのをとても楽しみにしています。

The new year is a good time to reflect on the past. What did I enjoy doing last year? Is there anything I can improve on? In America and Germany, we have a tradition called “New Year’s Resolutions”. I actually wrote about this in 2023, also. To be honest, I normally don’t write resolutions, as I am not good at pursuing a single goal for a long time. However, this year, I have a few goals I’d like to talk about.
新年は過去を振り返るのに良い機会です。昨年はどんなことをして楽しかったでしょうか?何か改善できることはあるでしょうか?アメリカやドイツには「新年の抱負」という伝統があります。実は2023年にもこのことについて書きました。実は私は、一つの目標を長く続けるのが苦手なので、普段はあまり抱負を書きません。でも今年は、いくつか目標があるので、それについてお話ししたいと思います。

1.I want to be a better-prepared person.
2.I want to read a novel in Japanese.
3.I want to host an extra English class.
4.I want to dance in the Arama Festival!

1.もっと準備万端な人間になりたい。
2.日本語で小説を一冊読みたい。
3.新たな英会話教室を主催したい。
4.荒馬まつりで踊りたい!
