■バレンタインを楽しもう!
Hello Gojome,
Happy Valentines Day! Valentines’day is a charming holiday in America. In schools, students pass out candy and valentines day cards to each other and their teachers. Couples spend time together and share gifts. And single people usually hang out with friends or enjoy some time alone eating a bunch of chocolate.
I hope everyone is enjoying the new year. I visited the Ghibli exhibit in Yokote with two of the Katagami ALTs. We got to take some really cool pictures. And I went skiing for the first time!! It was scary but very fun. This month, I’m looking forward to going to the winter festivals here in Akita.
Two festivals I am really excited about are the Namahage Sedo Festival and Yokote no Kamakura. I’ll try to get a good photo to share!

ハッピーバレンタインデー!バレンタインデーは、アメリカでは魅力的な祭日です。
学校では、生徒たちがお互いにお菓子やバレンタインカードを交換したり、先生に配ったりします。カップルは一緒に過ごしてプレゼントを交換し、独身の人は友達と過ごしたり、チョコレートを食べて一人の時間を楽しんだりします。
みなさんも、新年を楽しんでいることと思います。私は、潟上市のALT(外国語指導助手)2人と一緒に横手市のジブリ展に行き、とても素敵な写真を撮ることができました。そして、初めてスキーに行きました‼怖かったですが、とても楽しかったです。今月は、秋田の冬の祭りに行くのを楽しみにしています。私が本当に楽しみにしている祭りは2つあって、なまはげ柴灯(せど)まつりと横手のかまくらです。良い写真を撮って、皆さんにシェアしたいと思います!
