■アメリカのテールゲートパーティー
Hello everyone! My name is Annamarie Hilton and I am from Kansas, America.
皆さん、こんにちは!私はアメリカのカンザス州出身のアナマリィ・ヒルトンです。
I came to Japan in July and am working as an ALT in Sanuki City.
私は7月に来日し、さぬき市でALTとして働いています。
Today I would like to introduce you to tailgate parties, which are a popular event in my home country!
今日は、私の母国で人気のイベントであるテールゲートパーティーについて紹介したいと思います!
“Tailgate” refers to the trunk of a car, and tailgate parties are held with the back doors of the car open.
「テールゲート」とは車のトランクを意味し、テールゲートパーティーは車の後部のドアを開けて開催されます。
They usually occur in a parking lot before a big sports game, and sometimes before concerts, or festivals.
通常は大きなスポーツの試合の前に駐車場で行われますが、コンサートやフェスティバルの前に行われることもあります。
People enjoy drinking and eating barbecue and foods like hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken wings,pizza, and more!
人々はお酒を飲んだり、バーベキューやハンバーガー、ホットドッグ、チキンウィング、ピザなどの食べ物を食べたりして楽しみます!
We also listen to music, play games, and enjoy talking to friends during a tailgate party.
テールゲートパーティーでは音楽を聴いたり、ゲームをしたり、友達とおしゃべりを楽しんだりもします。
