みなさん、こんにちは。ALTのコナーです。
Merry Christmas, everyone! Wait… is it a little early to say that? I have already started seeing advertisements using popular Christmas music. It seems that the holidays arrive earlier and earlier every year. I don’t mind though； I love Christmas!

も、私は気にしません。クリスマスが大好きなんです!
This year, I’m planning on having a more relaxed Winter. Recently, I have been battling a case of Mycoplasma Pneumoniae. In English, we call the infection “Walking Pneumonia”. Perhaps I’ve been running and cycling too much recently； my body must be telling me “Slow down, Conner!”Fortunately, I’ve received medical care. I’m taking medicine every day and now I’m starting to cough less. In America, many people recommend drinking soup and eating foods with raw ginger and garlic.
Maybe I should try a recipe for ginger-garlic soup…

To be honest, this year, I’m more excited for New Year’s. After visiting last year, my brother will be returning to Imabetsu, and my cousin will be visiting Japan for the first time ever! An American being more excited for New Year’s than Christmas… perhaps I am becoming more Japanese after all.
正直に言うと、今年はお正月の方が楽しみです。私の兄は昨年に引き続き今別に戻ってきますし、いとこが初めて日本を訪れることになります!アメリカ人なのにクリスマスよりもお正月の方が楽しみ…私も日本人らしくなってきているのかもしれません。
