みなさん、こんにちは。ALTのコナーです。
It’s good to write to you all again. I am happy to say that both the talent show and the trip to Himeji that I wrote about in the last article went well. I’m writing this in April, so these memories are still fresh；however, once this article has been published, March will already be long gone. So… let’s talk about
April for a second.
皆さんにまた記事を書けて嬉しいです。前回の記事で書いたタレントショーと姫路旅行は、どちらも無事に終わりました。これを書いているのは4月なので、まだ記憶が鮮明です。しかし、この記事が公開される頃には、3月はもう過ぎ去っているでしょう。
さて…少しだけ4月の話をしましょう。
April has been an exciting month for me. For the first time, I hosted a friend visiting Imabetsu Town. As many of my friends live in Aomori City, Hirosaki, and Hachinohe, I often find myself outside of Imabetsu Town on the weekends. It was exciting getting the chance to stay home and introduce a friend to the good part of Imabetsu. Sometimes, I think people don’t think to visit Imabetsu because they don’t know what you can do here. I feel the charm of Imabetsu often comes off in the small niceties you can experience, such as seeing the Matsumae mountains across the ocean on a clear day or having an impromptu chat with an acquaintance you meet on a walk.
4月は私にとって刺激的な月でした。初めて、今別町を訪れていた友人を家に招きました。友人の多くは青森市、弘前市、八戸市に住んでいるので、週末は今別町を離れることが多いです。家にいて、友人に今別町の良いところを紹介する機会を得られたのは、とても刺激的でした。今別町を訪れるきっかけが、ここで何ができるのかよくわからないからという理由から、なかなか訪れないという方もいるかもしれません。でも、晴れた日に海の向こうに松前郡の山々を眺めたり、散歩中に出会った知り合いとふと会話を交わしたり、そんなちょっとした出来事が今別町の魅力になっている気がします。
May is looking to be an exciting month, too. Have you heard of Junji Ito, the famous horror mangaka?
There is currently an exhibit of his works at the Aomori Museum of Art. Actually, it’s been open since mid-April； I’ve been a bit too busy to go. Some of my friends are big fans of Ito’s manga, so I hope to join them on a trip to the museum later this month. One of my friends is visiting all the way from Oma town to see it! I really enjoyed the Ghibli Park exhibit last December, so I’m looking forward to this new exhibit.
5月も楽しみな月になりそうです。有名なホラー漫画家、伊藤潤二さんをご存知ですか?現在、青森県立美術館で彼の作品展が開催されています。実は4月中旬から開催されているのですが、私はちょっと忙しくて行けていません。友達の中には伊藤さんの漫画の大ファンが何人かいるので、今月末に一緒に美術館に遊びに行きたいと思っています。一人は大間町からわざわざ見に来るそうです!昨年12月のジブリパークについての企画展は本当に楽しかったので、今回の新しい企画展もとても楽しみです。
