新しくALT(外国語指導助手)に着任されたジャスミン・レネイ・ジェリー先生をご紹介します。

■メッセージ
Hello, my name is Jasmine and I am very happy to be working as the new ALT teacher in Shimokitayama Village. I am from Perth, Australia, and I am truly excited to meet everyone. Since I only started learning Japanese after arriving in Japan, please be patient with me. In return, I will do my best to support those who want to learn English.

I enjoy all kinds of food, especially Japanese cuisine. I particularly love Takoyaki. Please feel free to introduce me to different local dishes̶I would love to try them! Back in Australia, I studied Biology, so I have a deep love for nature and animals. Living surrounded by mountains and forests feel like a dream. My favorite animal is the monkey. Although they are a little scary in real life, I look forward to spotting them around the village.

I have played many different sports, but I especially enjoy soccer and softball. While in Japan, I hope to try volleyball because it looks like a very fun sport. Please don’ t hesitate to talk to me̶I might be shy at first, but I love getting to know people and hearing their stories. I look forward to meeting everyone in the village and to working with the students as they learn English.

こんにちは、ジャスミンです。下北山村で新しいALTの先生として働くことができ、とても嬉しく思っています。オーストラリアのパース出身で、皆さんにお会いできるのをとても楽しみにしています。日本語の勉強は日本に来てから始めたので、どうかご容赦ください。その代わり、英語を学びたい皆さんを全力でサポートします。

私はあらゆる種類の食べ物が好きですが、特に日本料理が好きです。特にたこ焼きが大好きです。色々な地元の料理を紹介してくれたら嬉しいです。ぜひ食べてみたいです!オーストラリアでは生物学を専攻していたので、自然と動物が大好きです。山や森に囲まれた生活は夢のようです。私の好きな動物はサルです。実物は少し怖いのですが、村のあちこちでサルを見かけるのが楽しみです。

私は色々なスポーツをしてきましたが、特にサッカーとソフトボールが好きです。日本にいる間は、バレーボールに挑戦してみたいと思っています。とても楽しそうなスポーツです。ぜひお気軽に話しかけてください。最初は少し恥ずかしがり屋かもしれませんが、人と知り合い、お話を聞くのが大好きです。村の皆さんにお会いできること、そして生徒たちが英語を学ぶ中で一緒に活動できることを楽しみにしています。
