Hello, it’s Diego!
At the end of May, 24 of us volunteered to do a beach cleanup at Iwaki-Minato Beach in Yurihonjo. The cleanup was organized by Charity Akita, a non-profit organization that does charity events and community building. The organization is made up of ALTs and many ALTs around the prefecture participate in their events. The cleanup started at1 pm and ended at 3：30 pm. The group was able to collect over 70 bags of garbage and I was able to fill 7 bags myself. Being able to do my part to make a small piece of the world better than before felt great. I look forward to participating in more volunteer events in the future.

こんにちは、ディエゴです!
5月末、私たち24人は由利本荘市の岩城みなと駅周辺のビーチでビーチクリーンのボランティアに参加しました。この清掃活動は、県内各地でチャリティ・イベントや地域づくりを行っている非営利団体「CharityAkita」が主催しました。この団体はALTで構成されており、県内の多くのALTがイベントに参加しています。清掃活動は午後1時に始まり、3時半に終わりました。グループは70袋以上のゴミを集めることができ、私自身も7袋集めることができました。世界のほんの一部を以前より良くするために自分の役割を果たすことは、素晴らしいことだと感じました。ビーチを綺麗にしながら、自分の心も綺麗になった気がします。今後もボランティア・イベントに参加するのが楽しみです。
