文化 HELLO! Connor ～コナーです!～

Hello! I’m Connor Iorio! I’m 22 and I’m from the United States. For hobbies, I like to draw, hike, and travel.
My mother spent 30 years in federal government, while my dad still works software engineer. Both have instilled the importance of education and curiosity within me from a young age.
I grew up in Maryland, a state on the East Coast right next to Washington D.C.. It’s famous for Blue Crabs, and the Chesapeake Bay. Every year my family fi shes up a couple dozen crabs from the river we live on, boil them, and have a party just to eat them.
For college I moved 3500 kilometers away to Montana. The scenery is mountainous and it snows　more than half the year. So I feel at home in Hokkaido. I’ve been almost everywhere in the United　States, if anyone has any questions please ask! I studied Anthropology in college, so in exchange　please teach me your culture!
For one year from 2023-2024, I studied abroad in Hyogo-ken at Kwansai Gakuin University. I’ve　been studying Japanese for over 3 years now but I’m still learning. I like talking to people, so　please feel free to talk to me. I am really looking forward to teaching the children of Aibetsu.

こんにちは!私は、コナー ・イオリオです。アメリカ出身で現在22歳になります。趣味は絵を描くこととハイキング、旅行に行くことです。母は連邦政府で30年間勤務し、父は今もソフトウェアのエンジニアとして働いています。両親には、幼いころから教育と好奇心の大切さについて教わりました。
私は、ワシントンD.C.のすぐ隣にあるメリーランド州で育ちました。メリーランド州は、青い蟹とチェサピーク湾で有名です。毎年、家族で川の蟹を数十匹釣り上げ、茹でて食べるためだけのパーティーをしていました。
大学の進学に伴い、3,500キロも離れたモンタナ州に引っ越しました。景色の大半は山々で、1年の半分以上は雪が降るので、北海道は身近に感じています。私は、アメリカの大半の場所に行った経験があります。何か質問があれば、いつでも聞いてください。大学では人類学を学んでいたので、皆さんの文化を教えていただきたいです!
2023年から2024年の1年間、兵庫県の関西学院大学に留学していました。日本語を3年以上勉強していますが、まだまだ勉強中です。人と話すことが好きですので、ぜひ話しかけてください。愛別町の子どもたちに教えることがとても楽しみです。
